History and originThe Sangiare a branch of the Samma tribe of Sindh. According to their traditions, the Samma are said to have had two grades, one comprising 30 families of superior or genuine Samma, the other 13 clans who were the ministers of the Samma.[2] DistributionThe Sangis are found along the banks of the Indus river, in the districts of Islamabad, Rahim Yar Khan and Rajanpur in Punjab, and Larkana, Sukkur, Ghotki and Shikarpur in Sindh.
