BackgroundSan Marino debuted in the 2008 contest with the band Miodio.[1] They placed last in the semi-final with five points (three from Greece and two from Andorra). After that, San Marino withdrew from the contest in 2009 and 2010.[2][3] On 22 December, SMRTV announced its comeback in the contest.[4] Internal selectionSMRTV confirmed on 3 February, that Italian singer Senit would represent San Marino in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany in May.[5] At EurovisionSan Marino competed twelfth in the first semi-final of the contest, on 10 May.
