The name was revived for the former Southampton Campus station for the 2004 and 2018 U.S. Open at the nearby Shinnecock Hills Golf Club.[1] The building was used as a U.S. Post Office and was a private residence as of 2013. In October 2013, it was dedicated as a Southampton Town Historic Landmark.[2] References1. ^LIRR History (TrainsAreFun.com) {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20100408100226/http://www.trainsarefun.com/lirrphotos/lirrstationshistory.htm |date=2010-04-08 }} 2. ^{{cite news |title=Shinnecock Hills Train Station gets landmark status |author=Young, Beth |url=http://www.eastendbeacon.com/2013/10/31/shinnecock-hills-train-station-gets-landmark-status-southampton-board-will-mull-ethics-policy-changes/ |newspaper=East End Beacon |date=October 31, 2013 |accessdate=November 29, 2014}} External links
