It is owned by the Town of Siler City.[1] This airport is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015, which categorized it as a general aviation facility.[2] Facilities and aircraftSiler City Municipal Airport covers an area of 92 acres (37 ha) at an elevation of 615 feet (187 m) above mean sea level. It has one runway designated 4/22 with an asphalt surface measuring 5,000 by 75 feet (1,524 x 23 m).[1] For the 12-month period ending August 6, 2009, the airport had 21,500 aircraft operations, an average of 58 per day: 95% general aviation and 5% military.
