Greek mythology

  • Melia is the name of several figures in Greek mythology, including:
    • Melia (consort of Apollo), a Theban cult figure who was the mother of Tenerus and Ismenus by Apollo, and said to be a daughter of Oceanus
    • Melia (consort of Inachus), the mother of Phoroneus and Aegialeus, by the Archive river-god Inachus, and said to be a daughter of Oceanus
    • Melia (consort of Poseidon), a Bithynian nymph, mother of Amycus, king of the Bebryces, by Poseidon
    • Melia, according to Pherecydes, was the daughter of Agenor and sister of Phoenix and Isaie who together with her sister Isaie, became the wives of their cousins Danaus and Aegyptus, sons of Belus.
  • Melia may also refer to the singular form of Meliae, a class of nymphs in Greek mythology
