The area of the district is {{convert|2517|km2|sp=us}}.[3] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Siva.[1] Population: {{ru-census|p2010=14,843|p2002=17,445|p1989=18,756}} The population of Siva accounts for 31.4% of the district's total population. GeographyThe highest point of the district is {{convert|303|m|sp=us}} above sea level.{{citation needed|date=October 2011}} The Obva River flows through the district. Climate is continental with average annual temperature of {{convert|+10|C}}. One-third of the territory is forested. The district has the least favorable geographical position within the krai, because it situated far from the main economic centers.
