Its logo represents the monastery of San Matías, the first church on Calzada de la Viga.[1] The Nahuatl toponym Iztacalco means "in the house of salt".[1] The station was opened on 20 July 1994.[3] Like the other stations on this stretch of Line 8, Metro Iztacalco stands on Avenida Francisco del Paso y Troncoso (eje 3-Ote). Is also connected with trolleybus line "M", which runs between INFONAVIT Iztacalco residential estate and Metro Villa de Cortés.[4] This station is the closest to the Colegio de Bachilleres Plantel 3 "Iztacalco".[5] References1. ^1 2 {{Cite web|url=http://www.metro.df.gob.mx/red/estacion.html?id=107|title=Iztacalco|language=Spanish|accessdate=1 August 2011|deadurl=yes|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20110808173627/http://www.metro.df.gob.mx/red/estacion.html?id=107|archivedate=8 August 2011|df=}} 2. ^{{Cite web|last=Archambault|first=Richard|url=http://mexicometro.org/metro/line8/iztacalco/|title=Iztacalco » Mexico City Metro System|accessdate=21 August 2011}} 3. ^{{Cite web|last=Monroy|first=Marco|editor-last=Schwandl|editor-first=Robert|url=http://www.urbanrail.net/am/mexi/mex-history.htm|title=Opening Dates for Mexico City's Subway|accessdate=20 August 2011}} 4. ^{{Cite web|url=http://www.ste.df.gob.mx/servicios/consultaLinea.html?id_trolebus=M|title=Servicios.- Servicio de Transportes Eléctricos del D.F.: Línea: M LINEA M CIRCUITO VILLA DE CORTÉS|language=Spanish|publisher=Servicio de Transportes Eléctricos|accessdate=21 August 2011|deadurl=yes|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20110806084849/http://www.ste.df.gob.mx/servicios/consultaLinea.html?id_trolebus=M|archivedate=6 August 2011|df=}} 5. ^{{Cite web|url=http://www.cbachilleres.edu.mx/cbportal/index.php/planteles-del-colegio-de-bachilleres/zona-centro/plantel-3|title=Plantel 3 Iztacalco|language=Spanish|publisher=Cobach|accessdate=21 August 2011}} External links
