Steve Starr is an American photographer who won a Pulitzer Prize.[1]

Life

He worked for the Associated Press, Albany Bureau.

Starr attended and graduated from San José State University.

"Campus Guns," his photograph of armed African American protesters leaving Willard Straight Hall at Cornell University, won the Pulitzer Prize for Spot News Photography in 1970.[1][1][2]

He married Marilynne Starr.

He lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
