Sunpentown manufactures household appliances such as humidifiers and air conditioners.[3] Engadget tested Sunpentown's SU-4010 and SU-9210 humidifiers concluding it was inferior to Honeywell's HCM-350 humidifier. SU-9210 did not burn as cleanly increasing relative humidity by 19.75% compared with the Honeywell HCM-350's 14%. Sunpentown's humidifiers are cheaper, however.[4] By 1999, Sunpentown's produced microcomputer-controlled rice cookers.[5] In 2014, Sunpentown was involved in an energy consumption study involving home and commercial induction cookers.[6] Sunpentown sells appliances under the SPT logo and brand.
