On the same day, The Indian Express wrote "Sooriyan is a racy entertainer that keeps the viewers attention engaged till the end".[4] New Straits Times praised director that he "succeeds in keeping the viewers in suspense" but criticised the stunt sequences for being unconvincing.[5]LegacyComedy track performed by Goundamani from the film became popular. His dialogue "Arasiyalla Ithellam Satharanampa" ({{lit|This is all very normal in politics}}) became popular.[6] This is one of the few movies where goundamani features without his partner senthil but proves his mettle.[7] The dialogue also inspired a show of same name in Aditya TV.[8] References1. ^{{cite web|title=Sarath kumar celebrates 54th birthday|url=http://www.indiaglitz.com/channels/tamil/article/39983.html|publisher=IndiaGlitz|date=15 July 2008|accessdate=17 June 2011}} 2. ^https://www.jiosaavn.com/album/surieyan/UTPhplj0LaQ_ 3. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.raaga.com/channels/tamil/album/T0000496.html | title=Suriyan - Raaga.com | accessdate=14 February 2012}} 4. ^https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=P9oYG7HA76QC&dat=19920814&printsec=frontpage&hl=en 5. ^https://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=x8G803Bi31IC&dat=19920822&printsec=frontpage&hl=en 6. ^https://blogs.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tracking-indian-communities/netizens-rofl-as-memes-mock-volatile-tn-politics/ 7. ^https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKgUDxEVlDA 8. ^https://www.youtube.com/show/arasiyallaithellamsaatharanamappaa External links{{Pavithran}}{{1990s-Tamil-film-stub}} 10 : Indian films|1992 films|Indian action films|Films shot in Rajasthan|Films scored by Deva (music director)|1990s Tamil-language films|Indian action thriller films|Films shot in Pollachi|Films set in Bangalore|Films shot in Bangalore |
