The population was 240 at the 2010 census,[3] up from 108 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Bryan–College Station metropolitan area. Millican is named after Robert Millican, the first white settler of the region that would come to be known as Brazos County. GeographyMillican is located in southern Brazos County at {{coord|30.466433|-96.202798|type:city_region:US|format=dms|display=inline}}.[4] It is {{convert|14|mi}} southeast of the city of College Station. According to the United States Census Bureau, Millican has a total area of {{convert|10.4|km2|disp=flip}}, of which {{convert|0.01|sqkm|disp=flip|3}}, or 0.11%, is water.[3] Demographics{{US Census population|2000= 108 |2010= 240 |estyear=2016 |estimate=244 |estref=[5] |footnote=U.S. Decennial Census[6] }} As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 108 people, 41 households, and 31 families residing in the town. The population density was 26.9 people per square mile (10.4/km2). There were 49 housing units at an average density of 12.2 per square mile (4.7/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 94.44% White, 1.85% African American, 1.85% Asian, 1.85% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.85% of the population. There were 41 households out of which 29.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.4% were married couples living together, 9.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.0% were non-families. 19.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 14.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.63 and the average family size was 2.91. In the town, the population was spread out with 25.0% under the age of 18, 10.2% from 18 to 24, 28.7% from 25 to 44, 21.3% from 45 to 64, and 14.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 36 years. For every 100 females, there were 86.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.4 males. The median income for a household in the town was $14,643, and the median income for a family was $20,114. Males had a median income of $36,250 versus $56,250 for females. The per capita income for the town was $13,821. There were no families living or children below the poverty line, however, 6.0% of the population was living below the poverty line including 16.3% of those over 64.
