It lies approximately {{convert|5|km|mi|0}} north-east of Bogoria, {{convert|17|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} north-east of Staszów, and {{convert|55|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} south-east of the regional capital Kielce.[4] The village has a population of {{decrease}} 239. DemographyAccording to the 2002 Poland census, there were 265 people residing in Szczeglice village, of whom 48.7% were male and 51.3% were female. In the village, the population was spread out with 26.4% under the age of 18, 32.8% from 18 to 44, 18.1% from 45 to 64, and 22.6% who were 65 years of age or older.[5]
