}}Taichung HSR station ({{zh|t=台中高鐵站|hp=Táizhōng Gāotiě Zhàn}}) is a railway station in Taichung, Taiwan served by Taiwan High Speed Rail, with a connection to Xinwuri Station for TRA services. All train services stop at this station.[4]

History

The station is elevated and has two island platforms. Since all services stop at this station, the passing tracks located between platforms are rarely used to connect trains with the depot to the south. The station has a total area of {{Convert|12|ha|m2|abbr=}}.[5]

The design of the station was carried out by HOY Architects, a Taipei based firm.[6] Construction took four years and took $5 billion NTD, making it the most expensive station at the time of its opening.[7] On October 24, 2006, Taichung HSR station was open to the public.[8] However, due to technical difficulties, rail services did not fully begin until January 5, 2007.[9]

Prior to the opening of Changhua and Yunlin HSR stations in December 2015, this was the only operational high speed rail station in Central Taiwan.
