It is endemic to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is most similar to Temnora wollastoni and Temnora zantus zantus but the tornal lobe is broader and more rounded. The forewing outer margin is heavily crenulated. The abdomen underside is lacking the conspicuous light brown medial line that is present in both similar species. The forewing upperside has a smaller apical pale patch than Temnora zantus zantus, with the basal edge concave rather than convex. The hindwing upperside is uniform dark brown.
