The competition was held on February 28, 2009.[2][3][4] She represented Czech Republic in the Miss Earth 2009 beauty pageant in November 2009.[5][6] Miss Earth 2009Budková, who stands 5 feet and 9.5 inches tall, represented Czech Republic in the 9th edition of Miss Earth beauty pageant, which took place at the Boracay Ecovillage Resort and Convention Center, in the Island of Boracay, Philippines, started on November 1, 2009 with its final on November 22, 2009.[7][8] The Miss Earth winner serves as the spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other environmental organizations.[9] 80 contestants from different countries and territories competed in the event.
