Terry Entrepreneurship is the entrepreneurship program at the Terry College of Business within the University of Georgia.

Overview

Terry Entrepreneurship focuses on launching successful student businesses "that give back to the college, the university, and the state.^[1]". The entrepreneurship concentration courses prepare students for careers in entrepreneurial leadership. Students learn to start and invest in new businesses, manage small, high growth or family businesses and lead highly innovative organizations. Graduate students have the opportunity to earn a concentration in entrepreneurship after completion of a core set of courses.

Activities

Terry Entrepreneurship activities all support the program's overall goal of launching student businesses.

Activity	Description
Top Entrepreneur	Both a competition and a seminar series. Open to all UGA students. Competitors participate in a series of interactive seminars and individual coaching sessions focused on starting a business.
Venture EAT	Informal educational and networking event to discuss entrepreneurship and venture capital issues with occasional special guest speakers. Students come with questions about their own companies, to talk shop, or just to listen to their peers and mentors. Held every other Thursday.
UGA Startups	Monthly lecture series at Terry Executive Center in Atlanta. Topics include but are not limited to innovation, funding, opportunity analysis, business communication, purchasing businesses and franchising.
Start Me Up!	Twice a year event with the Music Business Program that offers advice, mentorship and assistance to entrepreneurs in the music business.

Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club

The Entrepreneurship & VC Club includes both undergraduate and graduate students. The club has its own business activities that fund its social entrepreneurship mission. The club also coordinates other student clubs as part of MBA Outreach, an initiative to link clubs together and work towards a common goal to positively impact the community in a lasting, sustainable way.
