The subsidiaries of the Group include MIT Pune, MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul, MIT School of Distance Education and Avantika University. [5][6] HistoryMIT World Peace University was formerly known as the Maharashtra Academy of Engineering and Educational Research (MAEER's) group of institutions[7]. Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT), established in 1983, was the first college of the MAEER's group of institutions and one of the first private engineering college in Maharashtra.
