Founded in 1980 as The New York Restaurant School, and renamed in 2001, The Art Institute of New York City offered associate degrees and associate of applied sciences degrees in a variety of creative disciplines including fashion design, graphic design, and web design & interactive media. Located at 218-232 West 40th Street in New York City's Midtown/Fashion district, The Art Institute of New York City was accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
