词条 | The Caprivi Vision |
释义 |
The paper has stirred up controversy by providing a platform for Mishake Muyongo, leader of the banned United Democratic Party and alleged mastermind behind the attacks that led to the Caprivi Conflict, to further advocate the secession of the Caprivi Strip. In particular his 2008 New Year's message[2] triggered a sharp response from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, both against Muyongo and the editor of the paper.[3] The Namibian Society for Human Rights (NSHR) in turn defended the editor, stating that press freedom extends to opinion pieces favouring secession.[4] References1. ^{{cite news|title= About us|author= |newspaper= The Caprivi Vision|date= |url= http://www.thecaprivi.com/aboutus.php|deadurl= yes|archiveurl= https://web.archive.org/web/20110527152110/http://www.thecaprivi.com/aboutus.php|archivedate= 2011-05-27|df= }} 2. ^Mishake Muyongo UDP Executive Leadership 3. ^Ministry of Information and Broadcasting{{Dead link|date=June 2018 |bot=InternetArchiveBot |fix-attempted=no }} Media release condemning Muyongo's 2008 New Year's message. 4. ^NSHR {{Webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20101116173958/http://www.nshr.org.na/index.php?module=News&func=display&sid=908 |date=2010-11-16 }} In defense of truth and press freedom.
