Playing along with her mistake, romance develops between the two, as Hare helps Pat rear a colt to enter into the Derby Day competition. Cast
Critical receptionIn the Radio Times, Tony Sloman gave the film three out of five stars, and wrote, "Best remembered (if at all) for Philip Green's jaunty theme music, this British Lion horse-racing romp gains from the fact that it was photographed in colour and CinemaScope by the great Jack Hildyard. It also has good-looking leads in handsome Terence Morgan and sultry Peggy Cummins who, together with a sly performance from Cyril Cusack, keep the whole thing a good deal more watchable than it deserves to be. Comedy fans might care to note the pre-Carry On casting of Charles Hawtrey, while Wilfrid Hyde White also puts in an appearance."[4] References1. ^{{cite web|url=https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=Yyqc0Qa6b60C&pg=PA42&lpg=PA42&dq=the%20march%20hare%201956%20literary%20sources%20in%20film&source=bl&ots=K90nyUu5y6&sig=tP5JSECXdlWX0EkIVC0RAicYwaQ&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj54-a52N3SAhXEJcAKHbhoBDUQ6AEIKjAC#v=onepage&q=the%20march%20hare%201956%20literary%20sources%20in%20film&f=false|title=The Complete Index to Literary Sources in Film|first=Alan|last=Goble|date=1 January 1999|publisher=Walter de Gruyter|via=Google Books}} 2. ^{{cite web|url=https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0048352/|title=The March Hare|date=1 April 1956|publisher=|via=IMDb}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://ftvdb.bfi.org.uk/sift/title/41905|title=The March Hare (1956)|publisher=}} 4. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.radiotimes.com/film/kkgsx/the-march-hare|title=The March Hare - Film from RadioTimes|publisher=}} External links
