It launched on 11 May 2009 as part of a major overhaul of daytime programming on the channel. The programme aired live at 11:00 on weekdays, and was hosted by Sybil Mulcahy and Martin King. It focused on a variety of topical issues, such as healthcare, current affairs, entertainment, and real life stories. It also ran a number of competitions, which gave viewers the chance to become an author of their own published book, or to show off their unique talents such as singing and dancing. In February 2012, it was announced that Claire Brock would replace Sybil Mulcahy while the latter was on maternity leave.[1] CancellationOn 26 July 2013, the Irish Independent reported[2] that The Morning Show would be axed and replaced with a new afternoon programme. On 15 August, the TV3 Group confirmed that the show had been cancelled.[3] TheJournal.ie obtained a memo, allegedly sent to TV3 staff by the TV3 Groups management, which criticised those who might have leaked information to the press about future changes at the broadcaster.[4] References1. ^{{cite news|url=http://www.rte.ie/ten/2012/0224/tv3.html|title=New presenter for TV3's morning show|work=RTÉ Ten|date=24 February 2012|accessdate=24 February 2012}} 2. ^{{cite news| url=http://www.independent.ie/entertainment/tv-radio/tv3-to-axe-morning-show-in-shakeup-29449935.html | work=Irish Independent | title=TV3 to axe 'Morning Show' in shake-up | date=26 July 2013}} 3. ^TV3 showcases new talent and up-scaled plans at its 2013 Autumn Schedule Launch - TV3 Xposé Entertainment {{webarchive|url=https://web.archive.org/web/20130925080601/http://www.tv3.ie/entertainment_article.php?locID=1.803.813&article=110949 |date=25 September 2013 }} 4. ^TV3 staff warned of disciplinary action over leaks of possible schedule changes External links
