{{Update|date=March 2016}}Thilo Semmelbauer is the former President and Chief Operating Officer of Shutterstock, a subscription-based microstock photography website located in Manhattan.[1] He is currently a senior advisor at Insight Ventures, a New York-based venture capital and private equity firm.[2] In addition, he currently sits on the boards of Weight Watchers and Aaptiv, a digital fitness company that offers audio-based workout classes.[3]

Before assuming his position at Shutterstock, he was Executive Vice President of TheLadders.com.[4] Prior to that, he served as Co-Founder and President of WeightWatchers.com from 2000 to 2004, and then as President of Weight Watchers, North America from 2004 to 2006 and COO of Weight Watchers International from 2006 to 2008.[5] Before he joined Weight Watchers, Thilo was Principal at Boston Consulting Group.[4]

Semmelbauer holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, a Master's in Engineering from MIT, and a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College in Computer Science and Engineering.[6]
