It is three & a half hour drive from Bangalore in Karnataka, India. Its estimated population is about 5500-6000, Most of the villagers have now turned into the agriculturist. Thimmanahalli is also known as Kaayi Thimmanahalli History and namingIn 18th century, Thimmarasu Nayaka built fort at the site & established it as a province of the empire. The remnants of Fort could be found adjacent to Bandi-Mane(Bandimane)near Eshwar Temple. The prime crops that are grown in Thimmanahalli are coconut's Araca nut, paddy & ragi. It is famous for Coconut's. Hence the name Kaayi Thimmanahalli. EducationThere are three schools in our village.
All of these educational institutions are recognized by the government of Karnataka. Others living in Siddanakatte, Ramanahalli, Hanumanthanahalli, Badakegudlu, and Kandikere, also benefited from these schools.
