释义 |
He and his father were jointly responsible for a number of Gothic churches, including St Barnabas, Pimlico. On his own account he designed London terraces outside of the Grosvenor estate in an Italianate style, including Cornwall Gardens and parts of Queen's Gate, both in Kensington. He designed 6-16 Grosvenor Place,(41 Chapel Street) in the French renaissance style, for Grosvenor in 1868. Cundy also designed the three arched entrances of Kynance Mews.[2][3][4] He is buried in Brompton Cemetery, London.[5] References1. ^{{cite web | url = http://www.scottisharchitects.org.uk/architect_full.php?id=403192 | title = Colonel Eustace James Anthony Balfour | work = Dictionary of Scottish architects | accessdate=22 June 2014}} 2. ^{{NHLE|num=1266548|desc=Entrance arch from Gloucester Road|access-date=27 May 2018|mode=cs2}} 3. ^{{NHLE|num=1225050|desc=East entrance arch from Launceston Place|access-date=27 May 2018|mode=cs2}} 4. ^{{NHLE|num=122051|desc=West entrance arch from Launceston Place|access-date=27 May 2018|mode=cs2}} 5. ^{{Cite web|url=http://www.brompton.org/Residents.htm|title=Brompton Cemetery: List of notable occupants|last=|first=|date=|website=brompton.org|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20060823091118/http://www.brompton.org/Residents.htm|archive-date=23 August 2006|dead-url=yes|access-date=}}
