The complex includes a late 18th-century mill owner's house, a circa mid-19th-century miller's house, and a grist mill that was initially constructed in 1795. The mill is a banked, {{frac|2|1|2}}-story, gable-roofed building that is constructed of uncoursed rubble fieldstone at its basement and first floor levels, and of weatherboarded frame at its second story and attic levels.[2] It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.[1] References1. ^1 {{NRISref|2009a}} 2. ^{{cite web|url= {{NRHP url|id=83001403}}|title=National Register of Historic Places Registration: Thomas Phillips Mill Complex |date=May 1982|accessdate=2010-04-20 |author1=Gretchen Fitting |author2=Richard Jett |author3=Valeria Cesna |publisher=National Park Service and {{NRHP url|id=83001403|title=accompanying photos|photos=y}}}} External links
