The area of the district is {{convert|63484|km2|sp=us}}.[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Tigil.[1] Population: {{ru-census|p2010=7,307|p2002=9,341|p1989=12,452}} The population of Tigil accounts for 23.1% of the district's total population.
