The area of the district is {{convert|1506.4|km2|sp=us}}.{{citation needed|date=September 2012}} Its administrative center is the town of Timashyovsk.[1] Population: {{ru-census|p2010=106,130|p2002=107,189|p1989=91,851}} The population of Timashyovsk accounts for 50.8% of the district's total population.
