Johnagin is from Benton, Illinois.[1] He began performing stand-up comedy at age 18 and dropped out of college at age 21 to become a full-time comedian.[2] CareerJohnagin's television credits include Comedy Central's Live at Gotham , Comedy Central's The Half Hour, CMT Comedy Stage. He has participated in Comedy's Central's South Beach Comedy Festival and has made numerous guest appearances on The Bob & Tom Show[2] and The Ron and Fez Show. Johnagin said of this period in his career, "I made it my goal to work as hard as I possibly could the whole time I've been doing this. I didn't really take my time doing anything. Just constantly writing and constantly performing."[3] When Johnagin began his stand-up career, he made his act consciously clean and family-friendly; later, he incorporated more risque material into his act, but continues not to curse during performance.[3] In 2007, Johnagin participated in the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal, where he was the highest reviewed "New Face."[2] Upon arriving in Montreal, Johnagin learned that the scouts who book stand-up comedians for the Late Show with David Letterman were in the crowd. Performing on Letterman's show was one of Johnagin's personal career goals, so he said he wrote his Montreal material as if it were an "extended late-night spot."[3] The scout was impressed enough to book Johnagin for the show,[3] and he performed his stand-up routine on the Late Show in May 2008.[1] He has made seven appearances on "The Late Show" as of June 2014. Johnagin appeared in a 30-minute Comedy Central Presents special in January 2009, which Johnagin had described as another one of his personal career goals.[1][3] He has been headlining at comedy clubs across the United States since 2008.[1] In 2010 Johnagin appeared as a contestant on the NBC reality series Last Comic Standing and placed second. On May 16, 2012 Johnagin announced that his girlfriend was expecting on The Ron and Fez Show on Sirius XM Radio and has a stand-up appearance on NickMom Night Out.[4] Discography
