Trango's purpose was to develop a real-time mobile hypervisor. It was acquired by VMware in October 2008.[1] ProductsTrango developed a mobile hypervisor that supported ARM architectures (ARMv5 and ARMv6) and MIPS architectures, and could run Symbian OS, WinCE, and Linux mobile operating systems, and a supporting integrated development environment (IDE). VMware rebranded Trango's product as the VMware Mobile Virtualization Platform, which was later renamed VMware Horizon Mobile.[2][3] Notes and references1. ^{{cite web|last=Keith|first=Ward|title=The Next Frontier: Mobile Phone Hypervisors|url=http://virtualizationreview.com/articles/2009/01/01/the-next-frontier-mobile-phone-hypervisors.aspx|publisher=Virtualization review|accessdate=19 January 2013}} 2. ^{{cite web|last=Jon|first=Brodkin|title=VMware acquires Trango, debuts mobile hypervisor|url=http://www.networkworld.com/news/2008/111008-vmware-acquires-tango.html|publisher=Network World|accessdate=19 January 2013}} 3. ^{{cite web|last=Simon|first=Bramfitt|title=VMworld 2012 – Horizon Mobile (Application Management)|url=http://www.virtualizationpractice.com/vmworld-2012-horizon-mobile-application-management-18006/|publisher=The Virtualization Practice|accessdate=19 January 2013}} External links
