One form has been mapped to chromosome 9p21.[2] TypesTrichoepitheliomas may be divided into the following types:[3]{{rp|672}}
PathologyTrichoepitheliomas consisted of nests of basaloid cells. They lack the myxoid stroma and artefactual clefting seen in basal cell carcinoma. Mitoses are uncommon when compared to basal cell carcinoma. Diagnosis{{Empty section|date=May 2018}}See also
