Playing careerUgle began his senior football career with Carey Park in the South West Football League. In 1986 he joined Swan Districts in the West Australian Football League, making his debut the following year.[1] He won the Swan Medal for best and fairest player at the club in 1987.[2] During the 1986/1987 Northern Territory Football League season Ugle played for Wanderers.[1] He was signed to the West Coast Eagles in 1988.
