Truman National Security Project is a nationwide membership organization of frontline civilians, veterans, political professionals, and policy experts who conduct education and advocacy work on national security and foreign policy issues in the United States of America. The organization is named after President Harry S. Truman.

According to their website, Truman Project is a nationwide community of veterans, frontline civilians, policy experts, and political professionals who all share a common vision of U.S. leadership abroad. Its members believe in a strong, smart, and principled foreign policy that sees the United States leading a growing community of nations towards shared security and prosperity. Truman believes that America is at its best when it uses all the tools in its toolbox: diplomacy, defense, development, and democracy promotion.[1]

Together, Truman Center (Truman Project's sister organization) and Truman Project identify, train, and position veteran, frontline civilian, political, and policy leaders across America who share this worldview.[2] Truman members are self-organized into 16 Chapters across the nation, located in: Atlanta, Georgia; Boston, Massachusetts; Chicago, Illinois; Denver, Colorado; Washington, District of Columbia; Florida; Los Angeles, California; Michigan; New York, New York; North Carolina; Ohio; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; San Diego, California; San Francisco, California; Seattle, Washington; and Texas.[3]
