The area traditionally belonged to the Styria region. It is now included in the Drava Statistical Region.[2] The local church on a hill in the south of the settlement, right on the border with Croatia, is dedicated to Saints Hermagoras and Fortunatus and belongs to the Parish of Zavrč.
