The first match ended in a draw (1–1), which called for a replay to be played so the winner could be determined. Italy won the replay 2–0, with the goals coming from Luigi Riva, a low left foot shot inside the area and Pietro Anastasi with another low left foot shot.[1] Original matchDetails{{Football box |date={{Start date|1968|6|8|df=y}} |time=21:15 |team1={{fb-rt|ITA}} |score={{score link|UEFA Euro 1968 final tournament#Original match|1–1|UEFA Euro 1968 Final}} |aet=yes |report=http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuro/season=1968/matches/round=179/match=73910/index.html |team2={{fb|YUG}} |goals1=
