The film is narrated by one hundred actors, artists, athletes, authors, businessmen, entertainers, filmmakers, military personnel and musicians.[3] The film was released worldwide on August 12, 2015.[3][4] Premise{{quote box|width=250px|The title "Unity{{-"}} signifies the intention of the content. It's not so much to entertain, like a past-time, but rather turn something "on" inside you that has been suppressed or forgotten by the mask that society or tradition puts upon us. But more than that the film also helps relate us to the mystery of existence, to all of existence, which we are merely a part.|--Shaun Monson[3]}} Unity is a documentary that explores humanity's transformation, presented in five chapters: "Cosmic", "Mind", "Body", "Heart" and "Soul".[4]Narrators{{small|Reference:[3][5]}}{{Div col|colwidth=12em}}
ProductionOn June 26, 2013, Shaun Monson started a Kickstarter campaign to complete and market the film, with the goal of reaching "a minimum of $800,000 to complete post-production and release the film within a year", but the fundraising was unsuccessful.[6] After Monson's first installment, Earthlings (2005), he spent roughly seven years developing, writing and producing Unity.[1][4] ReleaseThe film is produced by Monson and Melissa Danis with Nation Earth and will be distributed by SpectiCast and Fathom Events.[3][1] The film was also recorded as an audiobook read by Monson. The audiobook is an unabridged version of the Unity script and is about five hours long.[7] References1. ^1 2 {{cite web|title=100 Celebrity Narrators, 7 Years In The Making ..."Unity" To Screen In Cinemas Worldwide Beginning August 12|url=http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/100-celebrity-narrators-7-years-in-the-making-unity-to-screen-in-cinemas-worldwide-beginning-august-12-300070314.html|publisher=PR Newswire|accessdate=May 1, 2015|date=April 22, 2015}} 2. ^{{cite web | url=http://www.bbfc.co.uk/releases/unity-film | title=UNITY (15) | work=British Board of Film Classification | date=June 17, 2015 | accessdate=June 18, 2015}} 3. ^1 2 3 4 5 6 {{cite web|author1=Dave McNary|title=Documentary 'Unity' Set for Aug. 12 Release with 100 Star Narrators|url=https://variety.com/2015/film/news/documentary-unity-set-for-aug-12-release-with-100-star-narrators-1201477200/|publisher=Variety|accessdate=May 1, 2015|date=April 22, 2015}} 4. ^1 2 {{cite web|title=About - Unity|url=http://unitythemovement.com/about/|publisher=Unity the Movement|accessdate=17 January 2014}} 5. ^{{cite web|url=http://unitythemovement.com/cast|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20131209105655/http://unitythemovement.com/cast/|dead-url=yes|archive-date=December 9, 2013|title=Cast - Unity|publisher=Unity the Movement|accessdate=June 27, 2013}} 6. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1217824721/unity-the-movie|title= UNITY THE MOVIE by Shaun Monson — Kickstarter|publisher=Kickstarter|date=June 26, 2013|accessdate=June 27, 2013}} 7. ^{{cite web|title=New Audiobook 'Unity' explores Consciousness and Connection|url=http://www.edgemagazine.net/2009/07/audiobook-unity/|publisher=Edge Magazine|accessdate=17 January 2014|date=1 July 2009}} 8. ^1 {{cite web|title=Film Unity|url=http://blog.yukosonoda.com/2012/film/film-unity/|publisher=Yuko Sonoda Official Site|accessdate=17 January 2014|date=12 July 2012}}
