It was recorded in the fall of 2008 in Fall Creek, Wisconsin and released on September 22, 2009 on Jagjaguwar.[7] The album reached #92 on the Billboard 200.[8] The album was reissued on April 7, 2015 exclusively through Newbury Comics. A limit of 500 vinyl copies were to be pressed but a communication error with the manufacturer led to an extra 250 copies of the reissue, amounting to a limited supply of 750 vinyl copies.
