The area of the district is {{convert|4666|km2|sp=us}}.[3] Its administrative center is the town of Usolye.[1] Population: {{ru-census|p2010=14,232|p2002=13,398|p1989=16,265}} The population of Usolye accounts for 40.0% of the district's total population. GeographyAbout 70% of the district's territory is covered by forests, mostly coniferous.[3] HistoryThe district was established in August 1940 as Voroshilovsky District.[3] Present name was given to it in 1957.{{citation needed|date=October 2011}} DemographicsEthnic composition (according to the 2002 Census):[3]
