The school caters for girls and boys between the ages of 11 and 18. Valley Park became a specialist Arts College in July 2007.[1] It also has the Artsmark Gold award.[2] Valley Park holds many activities for students e.g. focus days, trips to foreign countries and the best young farmers club in Kent. The school offers a wide range of subjects including English, Maths, History, Science, Music, P.E., Drama, D.T., I.C.T, Art, R.E., Geography, Business Studies, Modern Languages and Agriculture. BuildingsValley Park comprises several buildings. A block includes mainly ICT and Technology rooms and Modern Foreign Languages, B block includes Science and Art rooms as well as the Hall. The Annexe building has 15 class rooms used for business, geography and also history. The Taylor Building is used for English and mathematics and the Gallery is used for the teaching of the Performing Arts. The school also has a separate gym building and an on-site farm. The farm is run by Andy Town and Gemma Claxton and it competes in the Kent County Show, and the Ashford Cattle Show most years.
