The town covers an area of {{convert|13.65|km2|sqmi}}, and has a population of 2,953 (as at 31 December 2008). Veverská Bítýška lies approximately {{convert|16|km|mi|0}} north-west of Brno and {{convert|171|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} south-east of Prague.
