The university specializes in financial and economic disciplines but also focuses on engineering, law, liberal arts, and science. CampusNanjing University of Finance & Economics has three campuses. One on Fujian Road in the city center, one at the new university city (Yadong District) 15 km outside Nanjing called XianLin, and a small campus approximately 40 km away from the Nanjing city center in a village called QiaoTou. The university was founded in 2000 by the combination of three universities. A variety of majors/disciplines are available for study. Like at other universities in China, English study is compulsory. HistoryThe university has evolved from a grain school which was subordinated to the Ministry of Grains in 1956 to many iterations of provincial and national grain schools.
