He played with Kerry during the late 80's and 90's. He won an All Ireland Minor medal in 1988 and two year later added an Under 21 All Ireland medal[1] to that as captain of the team. The following year he was again captain of the team that won the All-Ireland Junior Football Championship. He played with the Kerry senior team during the 1991 National League.
