Playing careerPosadowski played at Villanova University from 1957-1959. Coaching careerPosadowski's coaching career began at Bishop McDevitt High School, where he compiled a 17-15-5 in four season as head football coach.[1] He spent two seasons as a part-time assistant at Villanova before becoming the Wildcats offensive line coach in 1969.[2] Posadowski spent one season (1976) as an assistant at Idaho State University.[3] Posadowski joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 1977 as offensive line coach. After a 0-5 start to the 1978 season, head coach Jim Eddy was fired and Posadowski was named head coach.[4] The Roughriders finished the season 4-11-1 and Posadowski was replaced by retiring quarterback Ron Lancaster.[5] Following Lancaster's hiring, Posadowski was moved from the head coaching position to director of scouting and recruiting.[5] Posadowski's final coaching position was as an assistant with the Calgary Stampeders.[6] References1. ^http://www.tedsilary.com/FBCLcoachrecords.htm {{Saskatchewan Roughriders coaches}}{{DEFAULTSORT:Posadowski, Walt}}2. ^{{cite news |author= |coauthors= |title=Full-Time Assistant |url=https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=_tsbAAAAIBAJ&sjid=SFEEAAAAIBAJ&pg=2088,1281724&dq |quote= |work=The Dispatch |date=March 19, 1969 |accessdate=2010-08-11 }} 3. ^http://issuu.com/frankmercogliano/docs/2009isufbmg 4. ^{{cite news |author= |coauthors= |title=Roughies replace Jim Eddy |url=https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=boMuAAAAIBAJ&sjid=g6EFAAAAIBAJ&pg=6389,513267&dq |quote= |work=The Montreal Gazette |date=August 17, 1978 |accessdate=2010-08-11 }} 5. ^1 {{cite news |author= |coauthors= |title=Lancaster Now Coach |url=https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=QucRAAAAIBAJ&sjid=8-0DAAAAIBAJ&pg=6954,88269&dq |quote= |work=The Spokesman-Review |date=November 1, 1978 |accessdate=2010-08-11}} 6. ^{{cite news |author= |coauthors= |title=Gotta promises changes to Stamps |url=https://news.google.com/newspapers?id=YqMyAAAAIBAJ&sjid=2O4FAAAAIBAJ&pg=6402,1227922&dq |quote= |work=Ottawa Citizen |date=November 4, 1981 |accessdate=2010-08-11 }} 5 : Living people|Villanova Wildcats football players|Villanova Wildcats football coaches|Idaho State Bengals football coaches|1930s births |
