The station broadcasts on AM frequency 1090 kHz at a power of 1,000 watts and is owned by George C. Hudson, III.[1] Because WENR shares the same frequency as former class I-B "clear-channel" stations KAAY in Little Rock, Arkansas and WBAL in Baltimore, Maryland, it broadcasts only during daylight hours and is required to sign off at sunset each night. History of call lettersThe call letters WENR were previously assigned to an AM station later known as WLS in Chicago, Illinois.[2] References1. ^WENR 1090 AM 2. ^{{cite news|title=FCC Okays Transfer of WJZ, KGO, WENR|url=http://www.americanradiohistory.com/Archive-Billboard/40s/1942/Billboard%201942-01-31.o.pdf|accessdate=5 February 2015|agency=Billboard|date=January 31, 1942}} External links{{AM station data|WENR}}{{Religious Radio Stations in Tennessee}}{{Daytime-only radio stations in Tennessee}}{{Tennessee-radio-station-stub}} 2 : Radio stations in Tennessee|Daytime-only radio stations |
