}}When I Come of Age is the unreleased studio album recorded by British singer and actor Shaheen Jafargholi. The album was recorded on the back of a record deal secured with Island Records following Jafargholi's appearance on Britain's Got Talent.[1] The album was set for release on 22 November 2010, but was subsequently delayed until 21 March 2011 due to "huge international interest and some exciting overseas opportunities".[2]

However, by the release date, the album had not surfaced, aside from advanced promo copies given to the press. Subsequently, the album's release never materialized. Songs from the advance copies subsequently leaked online, but the full album has never been commercially released or leaked. There are No Music videos released at all.

The album was recorded in London, New York and Atlanta between July and August 2010, with final touches on the album being made in January 2011. The album contains a mixture of both original songs and covers; these consist mainly of lesser-known 1960s soul songs, as well as "Who's Lovin' You", which was Jafargholi's signature song on Britain's Got Talent. Former The Voice UK contestant Vince Kidd co-wrote album opener "Last Train Home" alongside executive producer Paul O'Duffy. O'Duffy also produced "Hip Teens", a cover of Frank Popp's 2007 underground hit. Other producers on the album included Jerry Wonda, Igloo & TC, Jimmy Hogarth and Martin Terefe.[3]

Prior to the album's proposed release, Jafargholi released a cover of "What Christmas Means to Me" on iTunes.[4] He also recorded an online web series, "The Real Shaheen", which showed him in the process of recording the album. The series was released in July 2010.[5]
