It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Radziechowy-Wieprz.[1] It lies approximately {{convert|7|km|mi|0}} south of Żywiec and {{convert|70|km|mi|0|abbr=on}} south of the regional capital Katowice. The village has a population of 3,535. It is one of the oldest villages in Żywiec Basin.
