Catherine Sarah Melissa Tabeau | relatives = | signature = | website = | footnotes = }}William Frederic Pendleton (born March 25, 1845 in Savannah, Georgia – November 5, 1927) was the first Executive Bishop of the General Church of the New Jerusalem, in Bryn Athyn, PA.[1][2][3] BiographyPendleton was the son of Major Philip Coleman Pendleton and Catherine Sarah Melissa Tabeau.[4] He became the first Executive Bishop of the General Church of the New Jerusalem in 1897.[5] The General Church had split with the Swedenborgian Church of North America (sometimes known as the General Convention) in 1890 in a doctrinal dispute.
