Founded in 2010, the team plays in USL League Two, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. The team plays its home games at the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex on the FIFA-approved synthetic grass of the complex's John Scouras Field. The team's colours are black, red and white. HistoryWSA Winnipeg was announced as a USL Premier Development League expansion franchise on December 13, 2010.[1] The team is part of the larger World Soccer Academy and is supported by Mondetta, a well-recognized brand in Canadian professional sports, as one of its primary sponsors.[2] The team played its first game on May 28, 2011, a 1–0 loss to Thunder Bay Chill,[3] but achieved their first victory the following day, 3–0 in the return game against Thunder Bay.
