He has played in Nippon Professional Baseball pitcher for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. CareerOn February 13, 2014 he signed a minor league deal with an invite to Spring training with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He was released on July 10. He signed with the Lamigo Monkeys of CPBL in 2015. International CareerYang competed for Chinese Taipei in the 2005 Asian Baseball Championship, 2006 World Baseball Classic, 2006 Intercontinental Cup, 2010 Asian Games, 2013 World Baseball Classic Qualification and 2013 World Baseball Classic.[1] Pitching styleYang is a 5 ft 10 in, 190 lb left-handed pitcher. he throws a low 90s fastball, along with a slider, curveball, and a splitter.
