The site remains part of Vladimir Gusinsky's media holding. Yelena Bereznitskaya-Bruni replaced the initial Editor in Chief Igor Barchugov in 2001. The network has a head office in Moscow, Russia and two foreign posts. The network set up editorial offices in Israel and Ukraine. HistoryThe change of ownership at NTV was followed by a redesign of the news site which remained with the former NTV owner Vladimir Gusinsky.[3][4] In April 2001 the TV channel became part of OAO Gazprom Media.[5][6] In October 2002 the news site moved to another domain name, NEWSru.com[7][8] and the original domain ntv.ru has been transferred to the broadcasting company under the mutual arrangement. ProjectsBesides the basic site, the NEWSru service owns a number of special interest news sites. Among defunct projects is 2004.newsru.com, devoted in due time to Russian presidential election, 2004.[9] References1. ^{{cite web|url= https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/newsru.com |title= Newsru.com Site Info | publisher= Alexa Internet |accessdate= 2014-04-01 }} 2. ^{{cite journal|first=Maria|last=Yulikova|title=My Media|journal=Index on Censorship|volume= 37|issue=1|date=February 2008|pages=179–182 |doi=10.1080/03064220701882772|url=http://www.carnegie.ru/en/pubs/media/77876.htm|archiveurl=https://web.archive.org/web/20090901152357/http://www.carnegie.ru/en/pubs/media/77876.htm|archivedate=2009-09-01}} 3. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.netoscope.ru/press-releases/27.html|title=NTV.ru server revealed|publisher=Netoscope|language=Russian|date=2000-08-28|archiveurl=http://netoscope.narod.ru/press-releases/27.html|archivedate=2007-09-28}} 4. ^{{cite web|first=Natalia|last=Khaitina|url=http://www.netoscope.ru/news/2000/08/28/147.html|title=NTV.ru site opened before the target date|publisher=Netoscope|language=Russian|date=2000-08-28|archiveurl=http://netoscope.narod.ru/news/2000/08/28/147.html|archivedate=2007-09-28}} 5. ^{{cite web|first=Natalia|last=Khaitina|url=http://www.netoscope.ru/news/2001/04/16/2074.html|title=NTV and NTV.ru — two big differences|publisher=Netoscope|language=Russian|date=2001-04-16|archiveurl=http://netoscope.narod.ru/news/2001/04/16/2074.html|archivedate=2005-12-23}} 6. ^{{cite web|first=Natalia|last=Khaitina|url=http://www.netoscope.ru/theme/2001/04/19/2095.html|title=NTV.ru left Ostankino|publisher=Netoscope|language=Russian|date=2001-04-19|archiveurl=https://www.webcitation.org/6FhIkmrkw?url=http://www.netoscope.ru/theme/2001/04/19/2095.html|archivedate=2013-04-07|deadurl=yes|df=}} 7. ^{{cite web|first=Konstantin|last=Goncharov|url=http://www.compulenta.ru/2002/10/18/34790/|title=NTVRU.com changes the name|publisher=Compulenta|language=Russian|date=2002-10-18}} 8. ^{{cite web|url=http://www.newsru.com/russia/23oct2002/ournewname.html|title=Update your "Favourites".
