It is developed on the northern shore of Lac Ste. Anne, south of Alberta Highway 43, between Ross Haven and Gunn, {{convert|78|km|mi}} from Edmonton. DemographicsIn the 2016 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, the Summer Village of Yellowstone recorded a population of 137 living in 63 of its 145 total private dwellings, a {{percentage|{{#expr:137-124}}|124|1}} change from its 2011 population of 124. With a land area of {{convert|0.28|km2|sqmi|abbr=on}}, it had a population density of {{Pop density|137|0.28|km2|sqmi|prec=1}} in 2016.[3] The Summer Village of Yellowstone's 2012 municipal census counted a population of 131.[4] In the 2011 Census, the Summer Village of Yellowstone had a population of 124 living in 55 of its 143 total dwellings, a -27.1% change from its 2006 population of 170.
